The side lengths of △JKL are 60 cm, 80 cm, and 100 cm.

Which formula can be used to show that △JKL is a right triangle?

60^2+1002=80260 squared plus 100 squared is equal to 80 squared

60^2+802=100260 squared plus 80 squared is equal to 100 squared

60^2−802=100260 squared minus 80 squared is equal to 100 squared

80^2−602=100280 squared minus 60 squared is equal to 100 squared

Answer:

2nd option

Explanation:

using the converse of Pyhagoras' identity

If the square of the longest side is equal to the sum of the squares on the other 2 sides then the triangle is right.

longest side = 100 , then 100² = 10000

60² + 80² = 3600 + 6400 = 10000

then

60² + 80² = 100²

thus the triangle is right
