6 or -10

Explanation:

use the quadratic equation where A=1, b=2, and c=-15.

the quadratic equation is: x= [-b + or -
(\sqrt{(b^(2) - 4ac })/2a ]

plugging these values in will get you two different answers one being 6 and the other being -10
