Answer:

point slope form:

y - 3 = -4/3(x- (-1))

slope intercept form:

y = -4/3x + 13/3

Explanation:

So if the points are (7, -4) and (-1,3) then we can use those points to figure out the slope.

y2-y1/x2-x1 is the forumla for the slope

3-7/ -1 - (-4) --> -4/-1+4 --> -4/3

point slope form:

y - y1 = m(x-x1) ~ you can choose either of the two points to use, you should get the same answer

y - 3 = -4/3(x- (-1))

y - 3 = -4/3x+4/3

add 3 to both sides

y = -4/3x + 13/3 ~ slope intercept form

Answer:

The slope of the line is -7/8

When the point (7, -4) is used, the point-slope form of the line is y+4=(-7/8)(x-7)

The slope-intercept form is y=(-7/8)x+(17/8)
