Hello there,

In order to determine what the coefficient is in an expression you need to know what a coefficient is:

  • a coefficient would be the number in front of a variable

In the expression 4 + 8x = 20 the variable would have to be x so the number in front of x is 8.

The coefficient in the expression 4 + 8x = 20 would have to be 8.

Hope I helped,

Amna
