The circumference of a circle is 25.12 cm. Find the following: Diameter, Radius, and Area.

diameter: 8

radius: 4

area: 16 Pi

Explanation:

the circumference of a circle is 2 Pi times the radius, or Pi times the diameter. all you have to do is set up an equation.

1) circumference= (Pi)(Diameter)

then, plug in what you know, use X as the diameter, and use the value of Pi(3.14)

2) 25.12=3.14X

divide both sides by 3.14 to isolate the variable

3) 8=x

now, you have the diameter. to find the radius, divide the diameter by 2, and to find the area, use the equation for the area of a circle (Pi times the radius squared)
