How can we solve for the degree of a polynomial which has more than one variable

Answer:

It is the highest degree among all the terms.

For example, in the polynomial,
5x^(5) +9y^7+32xy+58, the degree is the highest degree among the four terms which is 7 (in
9y^7\\).
