Since we know the slope and have one point, we can solve for the y-intercept.

y = mx + b

7 = 2(6) + b

7 = 12 + b

7 - 12 = 12 + b - 12

-5 = b

Now that we have all the information, we can put it into the final equation.

y = 2x - 5

Best of Luck!

Answer:

y = 2x - 5

Explanation:

Step 1: Find the equation

(y - y_1) = m(x - x_1)

(y - 7) = 2(x - 6)

y - 7 + 7 = 2x - 12 + 7

y = 2x - 5

Answer:
y = 2x - 5
