l = 9 m

Explanation:

A = 54m² = l×w

l = w + 3

54 = w(w+3)

54 = w² + 3w

w² + 3w - 54 = 0

w² + 9w - 6w - 54 = 0

w(w + 9)-6(w + 9) = 0

(w - 6)(w + 9) = 0

w - 6 = 0 => w = 6 m

w + 9 = 0 => w = - 9 < 0 (F)

l = w + 3

l = 9 m
