Because graphs are so useful for simplifying complex quantitative data, they can also be used to manipulate and misinform readers. This can be done through; leaving out data that doesn’t support the promoted position, allowing the scale of the graph to compress or expands the data such that it is hard to discern the information correctly, labeling the graph improperly using incorrect information.
