The equation of a straight line has the form y=kx+b

\left \{ {{17=-17k+b} \atop {17=7k+b}} \right. \\\left \{ {{-17=17k-b} \atop {17=7k+b}} \right.\\0=24k\\k=0⇒ The slope of the straight line is 0

Explanation:

Given points (-17 , 17) and ( 7 , 17)

Now slope (m)

= (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

= ( 17- 17) / ( 7+ 17)

= 0/ 24

= 0
