Answer:

Alex is not correct. Rolling the two number cubes are independent events and the probability of getting an odd or an even number on either roll will be ½.

Answer:

Alex has a higher probability than the other player.

Explanation:

When 2 die are used there are 36 possibilities outcomes of averaged low to high numbers using each number fairly as unit on combined 12 sides.

We know this as a cube has 6 sides and that there are 2 x dice each showing the equivalent of;

(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ) x 2

For Alex equaling 6 he has 5/36 probability of rolling 6

4 + 2 5+ 1 1+ 5 2+4 + 3+3

= 5/36 probability of rolling 6 as we count up.

To find 2 die equaling 9 we have 4/36 we know it's less as numbers 3, 3 makes 6 and stands out.

We show are workings,

Find 9

6+ 3 = 9

5 +4 = 9

Just like;

3+ 6 = 9

4+ 5 =9

= 4 rolls = 4/36 probability of rolling a 9.
