The other dimension of rectangular prism is 12 m, if the surface area of a rectangular prism is 592 squared meters and two of the dimensions are 8 m and 10 m.

Explanation:

The given is,

The surface area of a rectangular prism is 592 squared meters

Two of the dimensions are 8 m and 10 m

Step:1

Formula for surface area of rectangular prism is,

Surface area, A = 2(wl+hl+hw).....................(1)

From given values,

Let, w = 8 m

l = 10 m

Equation (1) becomes,

592=2[ (8)(10)+10h+8h)]

592 = 2(80+10h+8h)

592=(160+20h+16h)

592-160 = 36h

432= 36h

h = (432)/(36)

h = 12 m

Other side of the rectangular prism = 12 m

Result:

The other dimension of rectangular prism is 12 m, if the surface area of a rectangular prism is 592 squared meters and two of the dimensions are 8 m and 10 m.
