Early settlers of the US considered it divine provenance for them to live there which is not something that has survived to this day.

Early settlers of the US were hard lined religious people who wanted to build a pure country int eh new world but soon found themselves in the middle of a bustling country that did not much care for the divine provenance of the people and their religion.

However, their attachment to the new land and the freedom of self expression and self determination it gave them has passed down through generations and can still be seen in the people.
