Using a 6 sided number cube. What is the sum of the probability of rolling

a 6 and the probability of not rolling a 6? *

Answer:

On a non bias die the probability of rolling a 6 will be 1/6

The probability of not rolling a 6 will be 5/6

If 2 dice used we use combinations to either total a number or to throw 2 independent numbers either relation to odd even same or add up to a number like just said. So if the combined number from a non bias die is 6 then the probability workings are table workings of 36 combinations where only 5 add up to 6

which shows each die having an equal chance to contribute to > 6

We therefore total these numbers up

rolling pair of dice to both = combined 6 = 5/36 = 13.89%

As the numbers could combine equal 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 several times each for some until 36 combinations.
