Answer:

a = 14°

b = 46°

Explanation:

in order to get the value of a and b

we have,

3a + 4 + 134 =180 ........................................................... angle on a straight line

3a + 1 38 = 180

3a = 180 - 138

3a = 42

divide both sides by 3

3a/3 = 42/3

a = 14°

in order to get b lets substitute the value of a into its angle to know the value of angle a

(3a + 4)°

3(14) + 4

42 + 4

46°

to get the value of b

2b + 42 + 46 = 180................................................................... angle on a straight line

2b + 88 = 180

2b = 180 -88

2b = 92°

divide both sides by 2

b = 46°
