s = 4x + 1

The perimeter P, can be by using the following formula:


P=7s


=7\left(4x+1\right)


\mathrm{Apply\:the\:distributive\:law}:\quad \:a\left(b+c\right)=ab+ac


=7\cdot \:4x+7\cdot \:1


=28x+7
