Y2-x2=6. X=5

Y2-(5)2=6

Y2-10=6 then divide everything by 2= Y-5=3 add 5 to both sides

Your answer is Y=8

I never solved one of these on a phone before sorry if it seems a little confusing.

Y = √31

Explanation:

Step 1:

Given Y²-X² = 6 and X= 5

Let Y² = 6 + X²

Step 2:

Put X= 5

Y² = 6 + 5²

= 6+25

= 31

Y = √31
