Step 1: Factor out the common term 3 to get 3(x - y)=2 Step 2: Divide both sides by 3 to get x-y = 2/3 because 2 divided by 3 becomes a fraction. Final answer x=2/3 + y

3x - 13y = 2 ; solve for y. In order to solve for y, we must isolate it by getting it onto its own side. We can do this by subtracting 3x from both sides. Then, divide both sides by -13.
