Natural selection means the reproducing of organisms with different phenotypes which changes the "heritable traits" of a population over a long period of time. This theory was first set forth by Charles Darwin, that tested his theory at Galapagos Island and used finches to prove his theory of natural selection. These natural selections help th epopulation produce, thrive, and survive.
