any odd number multiplied by any other odd number is still odd, so cubing or squaring an odd number will keep it odd.

If you're looking for the equation, it's:

(2n+1)^3=8n^3+12n^2+6n+1=2(4n^3+6n^2+3n)+2= an odd

I know because I got it right on acellus.
