1 Answer

y = 3x – 1 to point slope form is:
y - y_(1) = m (
x - x_(1))

Explanation:

The equation for point slope form is:

y - y_(1) = m (
x - x_(1))

where,

y_(1) = y- intercept

x_(1) = x- intercept

m = slope

Given:

y = 3x – 1

or, y-0 = 3 (
x - (1)/(3) )

where;

y intercept = 0

x intercept =
(1)/(3)

slope = 3

Hence:

point slope form:

y-0 = 3 (
x - (1)/(3) )
