Explanation:

The 2 horizontal lines are parallel.

The theorem says that 'for a line crossing 2 parallel lines alternate angles are congruent' so the angles marked are both 33 degrees.

These are sometimes called 'Z' because they are 2 angles inside the letter Z.

Also for a line crossing 2 parallel lines the 2 interior angles are supplementary (add up to 180 degrees) so:

x + 33 = 180

x = 180 - 33

x = 147 degrees.

180-33=147 it should make a straight line which is 180 degrees and it is already 33 so 147 degrees
