What is the equation of a line that is perpendicular to 2x+y=−4 and passes through the point (2, −8)?

Answer:

y2=(1/2)x-9

Explanation:

y= -2x-4

perpendicilar so multiplication of slope is -1

-2*m2=-1

m2=1/2

y2=(1/2)x+c need to passes trough (2,-8)

-8=(1/2)*2+c

-8=1+c

c=-9

y2=(1/2)x-9
