Answer:

About 90 percent of energy is lost as heat energy when energy moves from producer to primary consumer.

And the rest is transfer into the body of primary consumer. From first level consumer to second level consumer, only 10 percent of energy is transferred and the rest of it is lost as heat energy. From second to third level consumer, again 10 percent of energy is transferred and remaining is lost as heat.
