Explain how you would find the coordinates of the image

of (5,2) if it was reflected over the x-axis and then that
image was reflected over the y-axis. What would be the
end result?

Answer:

Sample Response: To find the image after a reflection over the x-axis, I would negate the y-coordinate. To find the image after a reflection over the y-axis, I would negate the x-coordinate. So, reflecting the point (5, 2) over the x- and y-axis, I would get (–5, –2).

Explanation:

I hope this helps!

If you flipped them the first time the coordinates would be (5,-2) then after flipping them over the y axis they would become (-5, -2)
