Answer:

base = b = 5

height = h = 13

Explanation:

Given Data:

Area of Parallelogram = A = 65
miles^(2)

base = b = x -4

height = h = x+4

Formula:

A = b×h

Solution:

A = b×h

65 = (x-4)×(x+4)

65 =
x^(2) - 4^(2) ∴ (a-b)(a+b) =
a^(2) - b^(2)

65 =
x^(2) - 16

x^(2) = 65 + 16

x^(2) = 81

\sqrt{x^(2) } = √(81)

x = \sqrt{9^(2) }

x = 9

Now,

base = b = x -4 = 9-4

base = b = 5

height = h = x+4 = 9+4

height = h = 13
