Find the volume of a cylinder that has a diameter of 10 inches and a height of 5 inches.

392.5 inches^3

Explanation:

So we know the volume of a cylinder is (pie)(r^2)(h)

1. First, find the radius which is 5 inches in this case because the diameter is 10 inches.

2. Second, you have to square the radius which would give us 25 inches^2.

3. Third, you multiply the previous answer (25 inches^2) times the height (5 inches) which would give us 125 inches^3.

4. Lastly, you multiply that answer (125 inches^3) by pie (3.141529..etc) which would give us 392.5 inches^3 ( I used 3.14 as pie) because a cylinder is a 3 dimensional figure.
