Or you could also find the area of 2 triangles and one rectangle.

Area of a triangle = bh/2

1st triangle = 6 x 2 = 12

12 ÷2 = 6

2nd triangle = 6x2= 12 ÷ 2 = 6

Area of a rectangle

A=bh

b = 4

h= 6

6x4=24

Now add all the areas to find out the area of the shape, so

6+6+24 =


36 {ft}^(2)
