The distance between the pair of points is 2.8 units

Solution:

Given that,

Points are W(2, 5), U(4, 3)

Distance between two points is given as:

d = √((y_2-y_1)^2 + (x_2-x_1)^2)

From given,

(x_1, y_1) = (2, 5)\\\\(x_2, y_2) = (4, 3)

Substituting the values we get,

d = √((3-5)^2+(4-2)^2)\\\\d = √((-2)^2 + (2)^2)\\\\ d = √(4+4)\\\\d = √(8)\\\\d = 2.8284

d \approx 2.8

Thus the distance between the pair of points is 2.8 units
