In triangle XYZ, shown below, angle X measures 53.8°, and angle Y measures 63.1°. Note: triangle is not drawn to scale If triangle XYZ were reflected across the y-axis to create triangle X'Y'Z', what would the measure of angle Z' be? A. 63.1° B. 76.2° C. 58.9° D. 82.4°

A. 63.1°

Explanation:

Whatever it may be reflection, rotation or translation, the angle or size of the triangle will not change.

As we know that the sum of angles in a triangle is 180°.

In ΔX'Y'Z', ∠X' + ∠Y' + ∠Z' = 180°

53.8° + 63.1° + ∠Z' = 180°

116.9° + ∠Z' = 180°

∠Z'= 180° - 116.9°

= 63.1°
