Answer:

y = cos x + 2

Explanation:

1. By looking at the shape of the graph, you can infer that it is either a cos or sin graph.

2. Look at the y value when X = 0. It starts with an inverted bell shape curve, from there we can infer that it is a cosine graph. if it is a sin graph, the shape will be like a toppled S shape curve.

3. This part is a bit trial and error for me:

Let X = 0,

cos 0 = 1

But the graph shows that when X = 0, Y = 3,

So there are 2 possibilities:

  • 3 cos X
  • cos X + 2

However when X = π,

  • 3 cos π = -3
  • cos π + 2 = 1

So cos x + 2 is the only option.

I THINK it might be y=cos(x)+2. Don’t quote me on that and you might wanna check with someone else
