Length of the model = 11.6 inch

Scale factor =
(1)/(90).

Solution:

Given 87 feet.

2 inch = 15 feet

To find the length of the model:

$\frac{2 \text { inch }}{15 \text { feet }}=\frac{x \text { inch }}{87 \text { feet }}$

Do cross multiplication.

2 * 87=x * 15

174=x * 15

$x=(174)/(15)

x=11.6 inch

Length of the model = 11.6 inch

Let us first change the unit as same.

1 feet = 12 inches

15 feet = 15 × 12 = 180 inches

$\text{Scale factor} =\frac{2 \text { inch }}{15 \text { feet }}$

$ =\frac{2 \text { inch }}{180 \text { inch }}$

$=(1)/(90)

Hence scale factor =
(1)/(90).
