Question:

The circumference of a clock is 22 inches. What is the radius of the clock?

Answer:

Radius = 3.5 inches

Solution:

Shape of the clock is circle.

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

Circumference of a clock = 22 inches

\Rightarrow2\pi r=22

$\Rightarrow2*(22)/(7)* r=22

$\Rightarrow(44)/(7)* r=22

$\Rightarrow r=22* (7)/(44)

$\Rightarrow r=(7)/(2)

r = 3.5 inches

Hence the radius of the clock is 3.5 inches.
