why do NaCl and CaCl2 conduct electricity when they are dissolved in water or when they are in the molten form, but not in the solid state?​

The ions differentiate when in molten form.

In solid form, no ions are free to flow like in molten form.

In molten or water form, ions flow through the substance with ease, conducting electricity.
