The story centers around a 14-year old boy, named Greg who doesn't do well in school and doesn't get along with his father. By the end of the story, Greg changed, coming to realize the importanc of the family, after meeting with Lemon Brown, a local homeless man.

The two successfully fought off a band of thugs who were in search of Brown's treasure, which by the end of the story turned to be a memory of his dead son, rather then money or gold.
