Answer:

Multiply those side lengths using the F.O.I.L method (first-outer-inner-last). Write it longhand then simplify if that’s what is needed.

(x+5)(x-5) = x^2 -5x + 5x -25

the -5x and + 5x cancel each other so it simplifies to x^2 - 25 units squared.
