The water level at a lake is normally O feet above

sea level. During a flood, the level rose 7 feet. Over
the next two weeks the level had gone down by
12 feet.
a. Write an expression to represent this situation.
b. What level is the water currently at?

(x + 7) - 12 = -4ft . X representing the level the water is normally at. The water is currently 4 feet below sea level.
