What steps can be used To solve 6\7x+1/2=7/8

I'm guessing you mean (6/7)x+(1/2)=7/8

Subtract 1/2 (also 4/8) from both sides: (6/7)x=3/8

Divide both sides by 6/7: x=21/48=7/16

So x is 7/16
