What does “compare the differences between gender roles” mean?

We have to show two visuals comparing gender roles, and I don’t know if the teacher wants it to pick one gender role and compare it, or make us do something else.

This is a research project about a specific country. Part of the project is to cover information about gender roles within country that you were given.

This is where “compare the differences between gender roles” gets me confused. please help me understand the question better, thanks

From my understanding, its asking you the difference between the men's role versus the women's role in our general lives.

For example, when it comes to family, women are typically perceived as the people who takes care of the household while men are the ones who provide food by working.
