What is the solution to this problem (1,3)(5,k) m=2

The solution of given problem is k = 11

Explanation:

slope of given two points formula:-

slope m =
(y_(2)- y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) ) .....(1)

Given points are (1,3) and (5,k)

given slope m = 2

now substituting m =2 and the given points are (1,3) and (5,k)


2 = (k-3)/(5-1)

on simplification we get solution


k-3 = 8


k = 8 +3


k = 11
