If the tidal patterns on the ear were in lock as that of the sun than the moon's orbital rotation would create a force that would be twice that of the lunar rotation cycle as of the sun and the moon and the high amount of the lunar tides that are experienced on the earth will be twice as high due to the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun.
