answer: 5 and 23/45

ex:

= (8 – 2) + (1/9 - 3/5)

= 6 + (1 x 5 over 9 x 5 - 3 x 9 over 5 x 9)

= 6 + 5/45 - 27/45

= 6 + (5 - 27 over 45)

= 6 + -22/45

= 5 23/45
