The bases and height of these three right triangles (i don't have the pictures up but they are triangles) are in the same proportional relationship to each other

7 1/2 9, 10 1/4 12 3/10, 16 3/4 20 1/10,
what is the constant of proportionality?

x ----> the base of triangle

y ----> the height of triangle

x=7(1)/(2)=(7*2+1)/(2)=(15)/(2)

k=(y)/(x)

substitute


k=9:(15)/(2)=(18)/(15)

Simplify


k=(6)/(5)

Second case


x=10(1)/(4)=(10*4+1)/(4)=(41)/(4)


y=12(3)/(10)=(12*10+3)/(10)=(123)/(10)


k=(y)/(x)

substitute


k=(123)/(10):(41)/(4)=(492)/(410)
