3) The height of a triangle is three times it's base. If it’s area is 54cm2 find the dimensions of the triangle?

Answer: The base is 6 cm and the height is 18 cm.

Explanation:

Equation for area of a triangle is 1/2*b*h

54=1/2*b*h

108=b*h

h=3b

108=3b^2

36=b^2

b=6

h=3b

h=18
