An increased the quantities of all the ingredients in a recipe by 60, percent. She used 80 grams left parenthesis, right parenthesis of cheese. How much cheese did the recipe require?

The recipe did require 50 grams of cheese.

Explanation:

Since, 60 percent extra cheese is used, therefore the given amount of cheese is 160% of recipe requirement. Or in other words, the given amount of cheese is 1.6 times the requirement.

80 grams = (1.6)(Recipe Requirement)

Recipe Requirement = 80/1.6 grams

Recipe Requirement = 50 grams
