Harriet had liposuction several years ago, but has since gained back all the weight lost through the procedure. She does not understand her weight gain because adipocytes are incapable of dividing. Provide a plausible explanation.

Answer:

Basically,Lipo suctions only remove the fat deposits in the body.

Although adipocytes ,store and release some quantity of fats in the body; they do not divide and the fats can not be rermoved, thus number of fat cells in peripheral tissues is limited.

In addtion,,mesenchymal cells can divide and differentiate to cells that form fat cells.

Fiuthermore ;in condition of excess fat intake Areola connective tissues can become fats storage in adipose tissues cells,

Sequel to this, left over fats deposits after surgery can enlarge and store more tryglycerides if she increaes her fat intake after surgery.

Hence an unexplainable increae body weight.

Answer:

Liposuction as to do with the removal of connective tissue and adipose cells which cannot undergo cell division.

It is nevessary for the other body cells to undergo usual cell division and distribute nutrients to neighbouring cells in the body. This will cause Harriet to regain the lost fat. Therefore, it is necessary for her to be placed on a strict diet to avoid recurrence.
