Straw in a cup. The straw may look straight, but it’s going to look crooked in the water.

Answer:

Refraction of light happens a lot more than you think - especially when it comes to water.

Step-by-step explanation:

Like if you try dropping a pencil in water (for no reason at all) then you'll notice the pencil will look different right? (that's an example of refraction of light)

Or a more common example; when you go swimming, a pool seems deeper than it actually is after you jump in.

Something even like pickles in a pickle jar even works too - they seem so much larger in the water!

If you ever been in a fancy restaurant with a cool fish tank, you might've noticed the fish look bigger when you look at it through the sides.

If you want to find more examples quickly search up "refraction of light daily examples" to get started!!

hope this helped good luck :)
