Follow PEMDAS:

P = PARENTHESIS

E = EXPONENTS

M = MULTIPLICATION

D = DIVISION

A = ADDITION

S = SUBTRACTION

So the first thing to do in the equation is (5×4) which equals 20.

So then you add 2 and 20 because the next thing to do is addition. That equals 22. After that you subtract 7 and 22 which is 15. Then you finally add 2 and 15 which equals 17. :) Ur welcome
