Answer:

Explanation:

did u ever hear of the FOIL method ?

First, outside, inside, last

(5x + 2)(x + 1)

FIRST: multiply the first terms in each set : 5x * x = 5x^2

OUTSIDE: multiply outside terms in each set : 5x * 1 = 5x

INSIDE:multiply inside terms in each set: 2 * x = 2x

LAST: multiply last terms in each set: 2 * 1 = 2

so we now have : 5x^2 + 5x + 2x + 2....combine like terms

5x^2 + 7x + 2 <== ur answer
