Hello,
To solve this problem you have to do x+x+1+x+2=45

Solve to find x and plug it back in. Add your 1 and 2 to x that you solved for.

For example:
So, you would get a final answer of x=14. So add 1 and 2 to it, the consecutive numbers are:

14, 15, and 16

Have great day!

Answer: 13, 15, and 17

Step-by-step explanation: This problem states that the sum of 3 consecutive odd integers is 45 and it asks us to find the integers.

3 consecutive odd integers are represented as follows.

X ⇒ first integer

X + 2 ⇒ second integer

X + 4 ⇒ third integer

Since the sum of these is 45, our equation reads X + X + 2 + X + 4 = 45.

Simplifying on the left, we get 3x + 6 = 45. Subtract 6 from both sides of the equation to get 3x = 39 and divide both sides of the equation by 3 in order to get x by itself and x = 13

Since x, our first odd integer is 13, our next consecutive odd integer x + 2 would be 15 and x + 4 would be 17.

So 13, 15, and 17 are the 3 consecutive odd integers that add to 45.
